Brand Identity Design for a Mobile Fresh Food Initiative
DeKalb County Board of Health

Why This Project Mattered
DeKalb County launched a Mobile Farmers Market to bring fresh food directly to neighborhoods with limited access. They needed a brand identity that was bold, friendly, and easy to recognize—something that could connect with local families and stand out across a variety of materials.
Approach and Delivery
Our goal was to create a bold, friendly identity that could work across print, digital, and mobile formats. The initial concept leaned more abstract and expressive, but lacked the clarity needed for broad public use. Through iteration, we arrived at a final logo that strikes the right balance—eye-catching and energetic, yet clear and readable for all audiences.

Making Food Access Easier to Navigate
Flyers were redesigned to clearly share hours, locations, and seasonal produce—making it easier for residents to plan their visits.
Spreading the Word with Friendly Visuals
Social and web graphics used bright colors, simple messaging, and community imagery to increase visibility and reach.

Supporting a Successful Community Launch
We partnered with DeKalb County to support the market’s launch through branded signage, banners, and printed handouts. These materials helped reinforce the program’s presence and made it easier for residents to engage during live events.

Sharing Impact with Clear, Visual Data
We turned program stats into engaging visuals to help partners and funders quickly see how the market was making a difference.

Reflections
This work showed that accessibility and equity aren’t just design goals—they’re strategic foundations. Every decision was made to ensure MACHC’s materials could better connect with—and serve—the communities that need them most.
