Designing to Raise Awareness and Reduce Stigma
New Hampshire Department of Health

Why This Project Mattered
The New Hampshire Department of Health needed ready-to-share materials to raise awareness about Mpox, address misconceptions, and reduce stigma. The campaign had to resonate with both general and high-risk audiences—while being flexible enough for use by clinics, partners, and community organizations.

Approach and Delivery
We created a full visual toolkit with tailored messaging, flexible layouts, and a welcoming tone. The assets were designed to be shared across print, digital, and in-person channels—making it easy for partners to meet people where they are.

One-Pagers for Key Audiences
We designed clear, informative one-sheets for use in clinical settings and public health outreach. Each version was tailored to a specific audience—including general community members, high-risk individuals, and healthcare providers.
Posters for Public Spaces
A bold, graphic poster series helped spark curiosity and increase visibility in waiting rooms, clinics, and partner sites. Messages focused on facts, symptoms, and inclusive care to reduce fear and encourage early action.

Social Media Toolkit
We built a wide set of social graphics with concise copy, strong contrast, and calls to action—making it easy for partners to share across Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Designs were optimized for accessibility and mobile readability.

In-App Messaging for Dating Platforms
We extended campaign reach into dating apps, designing assets that spoke directly to at-risk users. These were built for swipeable ad units and included brief, stigma-free language that encouraged users to click through for more info.
Reflections
This campaign blended clarity, care, and strategy to reach people across platforms. By creating flexible tools and inclusive messages, we helped reduce stigma, encourage awareness, and support a more informed public health response.
